About Me

I'm a UI/UX Designer & Frontend Programmer from Parker, Colorado. My empathetic personality, combined with my broad background, drive me to create engaging user-centered experiences. I have an eye for design and a background in development that uniquely positions me to collaborate on cross-functional teams. My approachable nature and leadership skills provide me the opportunity to contribute to the teams I work closely with. Most recently, I incorporated customer research into improving interaction and usability of an online conferencing product.

When I'm not working, you can find me listening to music, photographing wildlife and posting them to iNaturalist, riding my bike or paddleboard, watching the World Rally Championships, at my local record store, or hanging out with my family.

Professional Experience

Sr. Branding Engineer

Help to implement, update and support customer career sites. Effectively project manage multiple projects and deadlines in an agile scrum environment. Collaborate across the organization, as well as with external partners to maintain and improve our client’s recruitment marketing customer brand integrity.

• Partner with the iCIMS Implementation Managers to accept client requirements, groom incoming requests, and provide estimates for implementation level of effort.

• Lead a team of partners in performing similar duties by delegating tasks, reviewing edits, and merging edits into the main client site

• Apply client branding to each implementation of the iCIMS Recruitment Marketing Suite.

• Create responsive designs based on mock-ups or existing websites

• Perform maintenance and updates on existing client’s career sites.

iCIMS2021-Present

UI/UX Designer & Scrum Master

Wireframed, prototyped, and liaised with development teams to bring new features and enhancements to market for a UCaaS product. Led a diverse and dispersed team to adopt agile software development practices as a certified Scrum Master, resulting in predictable delivery of solutions and business value.

• Identified requirements for proposed programs and enhancements to create design specifications, accurately develop, test, and implement codes based on specifications while adhering to established deadlines, policies, and procedures.

• Created customer journey maps and user flows to identify pain points and opportunities in the customer experience to drive design and development decisions for an online conferencing solution.

• Facilitated and presented in Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand-Up, Scrum of Scrums, Iteration and System Demos, and Program Increment Planning. Communicated and worked closely with stakeholders and a diverse team of designers, developers, and product owners to predictably bring value to the business.

• Documented processes and provided training and mentorship to junior team members to ensure the group’s success and deliver exceptional results to our customers.

Frontend Developer

Created and maintained 600+ resource websites, event registration sites, and web forms for internal audiences and a large external customer base of Fortune 500 companies.

• Administered and curated both content and code for multiple data-driven and multilingual email templates for North American customers while serving as a resource for colleagues in Europe and Asia.

• Automated manual tasks and improved processes/workflows, increasing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Enhanced the functionality of customer-facing websites through scripting, including integrating Salesforce Live Chat solutions.

HTML

As the building block of “all-things web”, HTML was probably the first skill that I learned. It’s still an important component for anything web-based including email. I’m proficient with HTML and have a skill endorsement for it on LinkedIn.

Giving style to the structure – I’m adept with CSS, have used Bootstrap and Material UI CSS frameworks, am familiar with flex and grid layouts, and am familiar with CSS pre-processors such as SCSS. I have a skill endorsement for CSS on LinkedIn.

Providing functionality across the web – I am versed in plain JavaScript and libraries such as jQuery, competent with modern JS development using NPM and Webpack, and have some experience with React.

UI/UX Design

Taking a user-centric approach to product development. I’ve been a generalist in this realm, but have primarily served roles as an Interaction and Visual Designer. Comfortable working with Figma for wireframing and prototyping.  When not building out designs myself, I have experience liaising with engineering teams to translate designs and intentions into working software.
